WHO IS ELOHIM COVENANT MINISTRIES?

cross1

Established in Heppner, Oregon in 1985 as Heppner Christian Missionary Fellowship. We started with a vision from God and a handful of faithful Christians who desired the pure word of The Lord. Home bible studies were established, and are still in operation today. Teams have gone to 18 countries. We changed our name to Elohim Covenant in 2004. There are more than 70 Elohim Covenant churches/outreaches, worldwide. Elohim means Supreme God and we know that God is gathering together a people that have come into covenant with Him by sacrifice. A covenant people that will speak the same language (because they have heard what the Spirit in saying), each one supplying what the others have need of. The word of the Lord came to us in 1992 to occupy Heppner. We now have a motel, RV park, coffee & gift shop, bakery, and guest house. As God has called Heppner a City of Refuge, we believe God is growing us up together to feed His people, naturally and spiritually. Fathers are to lay up for the children, not the children for the fathers.

Statement of Faith – We believe

• All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness. 2 Tim. 3:16
• In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. (Jesus is the Word, made flesh, born of a virgin, crucified for our sins and raise again). John. 1:1
• There are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. 1 John. 5:7
• We believe His Words are Spirit and they are life and must be spiritually discerned. John 6:63 1 Cor. 2:14
• We believe the Door (Word) is open and God is calling us up higher. Rev. 4:1
• We believe apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers are given to the church to perfect the saints for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ. Until we all come in the unity of faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ. That we henceforth be no more children. Eph. 4:11-14
• We believe God is gathering together a people that have come into covenant with Him by sacrifice. He will return unto the people a pure language that we might serve Him with one consent. Ps. 50:5 Zeph. 3:9
• We believe we are being born again by the incorruptible seed of the Word of God 1 Pet. 1:23
• Truth comes in the volume of the book. Ps. 40:7 Heb. 10:7
• The Word of the Lord is pure and He wants His people to know the certainty of truth. Prov. 30:5 Prov. 22:21

LIFE IN HEPPNER OREGON

Heppner is a small, country town, nestled in the middle of many green and golden hills. It’s small enough for one to walk to the grocery store or post office, and to always see a familiar face along your way. There are no traffic lights, few sirens, and you have to remember that most stores and businesses are open no later than 7 P.M.

Life at the Ministry House in Heppner is a bit more fast-paced. Our theme has long been, “There’s always room for 1 {or 10!} more!” There are usually many people from a variety of countries and backgrounds living on the premises. Some visit and some stay for years.

Those who live at or visit the Ministry House, attend morning Bible Studies at the dining room table, as well as our Weds. night and Sun. morning services. There is an emphasis on the importance of the Word of God here in everyday life. It’s common to see people studying or discussing the Word throughout the day. People also enjoy a large lunch meal each day together, which very often includes other guests from around town who stop by.

There is plenty for everyone to do here. Individuals may help keep up the Ministry House and take care of our guests, or help out at the Motel\RV Park or the Gallery\Coffee Shop. There’s a wide variety of duties to fit almost anyone’s gifts and abilities.
